David Greenhouse has spent over 20 years helping students across Warren and Morris Counties reach schools their families genuinely believed in. He is not a tutoring platform, not a call center, and not a rotating roster of instructors. He is one experienced private English tutor and college prep counselor who has built his entire career on a single commitment: changing outcomes for the students he works with.
David Greenhouse has spent more than two decades working with students and families across Hackettstown, New Jersey and the surrounding areas of Warren and Morris Counties. From the very beginning, his approach has been the same: understand the student first, build the plan second. That philosophy, quiet as it sounds, is what separates his work from every tutoring platform or prep class a family might have tried before finding him.
Over the course of his career as a private English tutor and college prep counselor, David has worked with more than 4,000 students across Northern and Central New Jersey and Rockland County, New York. He has privately tutored over 275 children one on one and personally guided more than 75 families through the full college application process. SAT English scores improve by an average of 90 points through his program. Among students who complete full admissions coaching, the majority earn acceptance to their first-choice school. These are outcomes built session by session, not promises made at a consultation.
His students have gone on to attend Cornell, the University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers, Lehigh, Villanova, Penn State, and many others. Beyond the acceptances, what David takes most seriously is the student who arrived uncertain about everything and left with a genuine sense of what they are capable of. That shift, from doubt to direction, is what 20 years of this work actually looks like.
